 6:15 Breakfast in bed for the birthday girl
 7:28 Quick stop at the grocery store before work.
 8:57 At my desk.
 10:41 Shelving in the stacks
 11:55 At the frame shop with my Mother's Day gift
 12:51 A very belated birthday gift for my nephew is on its way!
 1:35 Prom briefing for upperclassmen
 2:31 A colleague stopped by to share her handiwork: a t-shirt quilt for her soon-to-graduate nephew
 3:36 Early for after-school pick up, listening to my book: Room by Emma Donoghue
 4:37 Home.
 5:05 Frosting the birthday cake that I made despite the five thousand cupcakes from the slumber party this weekend.
 5:45 He got her a chess set for her birthday; she is being a very sore loser.
 7:07 Birthday dinner w/ neighbors!
 8:52 On the road again, almost home
 9:12 And that concludes the birthday celebrations of 2013.
 10:28 Buona Notte.


I had fun posting these on Instagram yesterday for my Corner View "Day in the Life" assignment of the week!  Hope all is going well in your corner of the world. The homemade chocolate sour cream cake with cream cheese frosting has become the staple birthday cake in our house. I wish I could send you a piece!

      It was quite busy indeed. It is actually a rare occurence for us to be in a restaurant with neighbors on a week night.

    4:37 and 8:52 are my favorite! i love 4:37 for the gate and the door and the pretty flowers! and the streets of 8:52 ... ahhhhhh ... how i miss the streets of europe!!

      It's not exactly as it seems; it's really a small break followed a bit later by our lunch break. Both of those facilities are a two minute walk from the school. If there are no lines at the PO I can be back in the school within 10 minutes. It's a different kind of life.
