Poesia di Natale

Memorization tasks are still very common in Italian primary schools. Young One is often assigned a poem,a rhyme or a prayer for memorization, to be recited in front of the entire class. The lines are generally fairly short and not extremely challenging...until this Christmas, that is. She memorized a beautiful, albeit lengthy, version of the Christmas story for which she eventually received high marks from her second grade teacher. Well deserved high marks, if I do say so myself.
