photo display complete, for now

I was inspired by Emily to use magnet boards to display photos; she found the idea here . . . but really, it's all over the web.  The magnet boards are from IKEA, while the magnets are from both Crate and Barrel and this place. I ordered the prints from MPix, who offers a host of sizes.

And the photos?  They are mine and I'm (finally) proud to display a bit of my "work," imperfect as it may be.

Completing this project makes me all kinds of happy.
It's a perfect way to welcome spring and her rays of sun into our home.

  1. A vent about a merchant. . .

The Container Store not only refused to ship their magnets to APO, but also had the audacity to send me an email laden with sorry excuses and the suggestion that I ship to a relative who could then forward the package to me. I respect the choice not to ship to APO, but please don't send me unsolicited emails on the subject. I've been using the APO for ten years; I know why you don't do it. No worries because many other merchants will take the time. Thanks for the support, Dear The Container Store.)

  3. What a good idea! I also have some "imperfect" photos that I love, and it would be nice to display them!
For magnets, we've been using the pieces of geomag sets that were given the boys, they never really played with the game much (isn't it crazy?), but the magnets are really good, and you can even get the little magnetic pieces out of the plastic tubes (THAT the boys liked!).

  4. Sorry for the hassel. The pictures look beautiful and I think photos make the best artwork. My children are what I am the most proud of.

  5. It looks amazing! Gosh! Makes me think I should actually start printing my own stuff for display :) I've yet to print one of my pictures. For clients, yes. But for me, no! :) Maybe when I get a house I'll tackle that project!

  6. No worries on spelling his name wrong. I knew what you meant. Actually, I love the name Rowan, but it didn't make the cut with my husband.

  7. ooh! Great idea! So recyclable too, easy to change out with other pictures when you want a change. Now I know what to go shopping for at Ikea when it finally opens in March...
