corner view :: rock

There's a big one at the top of my street that doesn't seem to bother anyone. I usually don't think much about it either, except for when the Earth rumbles, which it does a few times a year in these parts, and then my imagination laced with fear gets the best of me, and I can't get it out of my mind, this big rock at the top of my street.

Corner View is a weekly appointment shared by people around the globe, an appointment started in the spring of 2009 by Jane in Spain and currently hosted by Francesca over at Fuori Borgo. We welcome you to join us.

  1. I think that rock is pretty solid. I don't think is going anywhere. The thought of the ground shaking a couple times a year must be nerve wracking.

    1. I'd always thought so too, until someone from the village told me that it wasn't always there in her lifetime.
      Hmmmmmm....
      Earthquake tremor scare the bejeezus out of me, even without the boulder.

  3. That rock is awesome! Have your really never put it on the blog before? I can't help but think that rock needs a little adornment though-- a smiley perhaps? Just a little tiny prank.. One that would wash off... oooohhh or a cow jumping over it? a giant spider crawling down? My mind is spinning with all the possibilities.

  5. I can see this rock going as a giant ball with an earth quack, hopefully it doesn't go to your house!

  8. Oh my goodness, I hope you don't have an "Indiana Jones" moment. I like Karen's idea above.

  9. Love the corner...although that earth moving, with or without rock, don´t like the idea
