Authentic Learning Using Bananas
I opened the Bananagram pouch, spread the tiles on the floor and encouraged her to sort the letters; bored with a mundane sorting task, she moved quickly to spelling simple words, and then created a collection of rhyming words. Her next step was to record that list in her notebook. Soon after she lost interest and moved on to something else.
Self-directed, authentic learning at it's finest if you ask me. . . but what do I know?
Nice job, Santa.
I love this idea! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteSimilar things happening in our house, too. And the adults can't stop playing the full game...have you tried it yet? Very addictive and fun.
