I Puffi
A favorite from my past that can be found in Italy -- the Smurfs! I don't know the level of their popularity here, but they are available at the local toy store & I've noticed an increase in Smurf-related merchandise lately; we have caught the cartoon a couple of times on one of the channels available through SKY. My girl likes them, but I think she really is enamored with the mushroom house and their diminutive size over all else. When I call them "Smurfs," she corrects me with "Puffi" -- no English translation available in her mind.
At times I am surprised by what interests her . . . pleasantly surprised -- one more toy post to come later this week.
Smurfts??? PUFFI! I used to collect them when I was 12.
ReplyDeleteI loved Smurfs as a child. I still have one or two of the little figurines. When I was little my friend's dad told me that Smurfs were real but could only be found in California. I sorta believed him. I've seen a few Smurf related things here in Lux, mostly food - cookies and gummy candy. I'd love it if my kids got into Smurfs - so cute!
ReplyDeleteI collected Smurfs and had a couple of mushroom houses for them that were not nearly as deluxe as the one in that photo. Are the cartoons the old ones or have they been redone?
ReplyDeleteI am amazed these are still around. I loved them as a child.

ReplyDeleteThe cartoons are the old ones. . . kinda fuzzy on the screen even.
