I've never seen that fountain, but then I've never been in bologna. Still, why did they call it fontana di nettuno? Why did they not acknowledge the very prominent female-ness? I'd love to know what you think of gender and italian culture Dana.
She's just a small part of the larger fountain. What you don't see is Nettuno atop -- reigning supreme with hit triton . . .ughh. . . his stick.Gender issues in Italian culture?!! What ever could be the issue? lol
