Adventure & Lessons in the Blue Ridge Mountains of GA

Eighteen of us have gathered for a week of outdoor adventures in Northern Georgia: adventures like hikes to waterfalls, tubing, frolicks in mountain streams, white water rafting. It's been much fun. In the evenings we gather at the cabin (super-luxury-deluxe cabin) for meals and lessons. Lessons in cooking and other lessons, too. My two nieces have decided to learn a bit of Italian, including creating their very own vocabulary list with invented spelling -- kinda cute to hear 2 little Cajuns trying to speak Italian.

Anna and Caroline's Vocabulary List

Tomorrow we are headed to Amicola State Park where we'll hike the southern most part of the Appalachian Trail (I think.) More fun to be sure.

  1. You are going to love it! It is so beautiful up there. It is just too bad that it isn't a little cooler. This heat is killing us, and unfortunately it isn't any cooler up there in the mountains. That totally tocks that Grandma is still keeping active at 85. I hope to be that way at 85.

  4. Sounds like a great family adventure. We always do big family beach trips, but I think the mountains would be fun, too. Glad you had a good summer and welcome back home.
