  1. It is interesting that you are posting this video because I was thinking on the similar lines given an experience that occured yesterday and a movie that I saw this weekend. I can't tell you how many times we have been told our boys have ADD or ADHD. Finally, we took our children to a serious of doctors and all of them said that our boys are extremely bright, but are bored out of their brain. Can you imagine if we had put them on medication. My husband call it child suicide. I am assuming that you much agree to some degree with his theory or you would not have posted it. Thanks so much for this video clip. I can't wait to show this to my husband. Kelleyn

  3. wow I watched the whole clip, so interesting! I actually am thinking about this a lot. I don't know I agree with everything (most of it) that is implied here, but I love the fact of rethinking the whole concept of education.

  4. I've watched Sir Ken Robinson's talks on TED and I highly recommend them. I think this message is being spread in the undercurrent, so to speak. People feel this at heart, and now we need to find a way to act upon it as a society. Thank you for sharing this animated version!

  5. Wow, what a fantastic way to tell us important perspectives of education and ADHD. This little lecture demonstrates in a brilliant way that following a perhaps sober theme can be that more thrilling when being presented in such a different and attractive method! I like that and totally agree with this theory. I think all of us had that moments in school when you had the impression that a school grade failed to detect the real skills of your personality...!?

  6. The education of our future, everyone's children should have a requirement that all would be on the same page. Oops I guess this is my perspective. smile...
I did find the video interesting. Thanks for this week's topic! xo

  8. I teach poetry to teen moms who've dropped out of school. They're the ones the educational system has failed. And I can give a hearty endorsement to the idea that the arts are the antidote to standardized education, etc. When I teach poetry no matter how resistant or off-the-wall my students are when they enter the classroom, they sink into 20 minutes of quiet and attention once they begin to write. It's a miracle I experience on a daily basis!

  9. Quite interesting...we give it a fair amount of thought because we home school. The main thing for us is keeping kids interested and inspired...luckily our son experiences this in public school! It's all about the teachers.

  10. Goodness, so much food for thought in this video! I can't get the audio to work at the very end (last minute or so), and I missed the conclusions. Thanks Dana!
