Fiat 500, again: the Italians are coming

Thanks to Rome-based blogger, Mozzarella Mamma for sharing this Fiat 500L television ad. I encourage you to click on over and read the brief analysis  of this particular spot in terms of historical perspective, stereotypes and cultural differences. I think it's spot on in most cases.  It is horrible that this commercial cracks me up? It does. But I feel guilty about that...about the way women are portrayed, you know. Ugghhhh.....

Have you seen the other ad: Free Italian Family Inside.
It has me in stitches each time I watch it.

PS. My rather tall American husband drives a Fiat 500, pearl white with an Italian flag racing stripe along its side...maybe the humor lies there for me.
